German is my mother tongue, however, because I come from a bilingual family, American English – German, I speak English fluently. I live in Germany, specifically in Munich, and I completed my studies with a Master’s degree in social sciences and philosophy. Then, I trained at the Süddeutsche Zeitung as a journalist and worked for seven years as a reporter (sports, business, politics, leisure, travel), and as a copywriter for clients of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. Therefore, I have a good writing style, and I am very accurate in terms of grammar and new German orthography.
Since 2003 I have translated texts from British and American English and French (France) to the German language (Germany). I am very experienced in the fields of journalism, marketing, advertising, tourism, PR, cooking and gastronomy. I have written texts for publishers like the Xoai Media Transfer Gmbh, dtv and CC Buchner, translated and proofread, as well, and worked for translation agencies such as translated.net, onehourtranslation.com, Motaword, Language Support Centre Denmark and alphatranslations, as well as for customers such as eBay, Google, Amazon and Photography Collection LLC.
I have particular translation and proofreading experience in the following areas:
Business: Offers, marketing, sales, PR, newsletters, magazines, newspapers, advertisements, resumes, certificates, computer and video games, online role-playing games.
